- 2814 Moss Side Avenue Richmond, Virginia 37º34'13" N, 77º26'28" W Looking through city directories for Richmond, 1924 shows Battery Park Christian Church to be at the corner of Moss Side Avenue and W. Essex Street. In 1930 and 1946 that church's address is given as 2812 Moss Side Avenue, which could be the same as the 1924 intersecting streets. The 1951 directory shows the 2812 address as vacant. Directories for 1953 and 1955 list no entries for 2812, but show a Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints at 2814 Moss Side. The number 2814 does not occur in the earlier directories mentioned above, and I suspect it reflects a numbering change, not the disappearance of one building and the appearance of another. In any case, the Mormon congregation is now gone and Mt. Hermon Baptist Church occupies the building.
