(inherited from collection) - Description:
- 423 N. 18th Street Richmond, Virginia 37º32'12" N, 77º25'26" W A sign that capitalizes on the nearby Church Hill tunnel, a railroad tunnel that collapsed in 1925, burying a work train and killing at least four men. Eventually both ends of the tunnel were sealed with the train and the remains of at least two victims entombed inside. "Cold Storage" comes from the previous occupant of the building, Richmond Cold Storage. The conversion from industrial buildings to apartment lofts began in 2007.
