Meadow Street Richmond, Virginia wholesale opened fall 2016, retail April 2017 37º33'24" N, 77º27'39" W The previous business at this location was Lucille's Bakery, which was here for ten years before moving on to other things in 2016. The Best Café at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts sold Lucille's macaroons and they were extraordinary. But now Red Cap Patisserie is here and they are a totally worthy successor. A tourtiere followed by a scone makes a fine breakfast. Their coffee is stout and strong and they don't serve decaf. Very friendly folks behind the counter. I saw two houses in this neighborhood that dated to 1910 and 1913; This building was probably built about the same time.
