- James River Park Pipeline Walkway Richmond, Virginia This concrete pipeline is a stormwater sewer, and as part of a trail system along the James River, is meant to be walked on. Photos of this pipeline are a local cliché, but the impetus for this one was thinking about The Ventures 1963 cover of The Chantays 1962 instrumental, "Pipeline." "Pipeline," a classic early '60s surfing song, was covered by many other musicians over the years. Two of my favorites are Duo De Twang and Bill Frisell .
