- Park Place 2800 Patterson Avenue Richmond, Virginia 37°33'35" N 77°28'20" W This photo is not suffering from lens distortion. The pictured building is in—technically not in, but is an extension of—an area of Richmond known as The Fan, so-called because the streets are not parallel, but fan out. Patterson Avenue, on the left, is parallel to the left side of this building while Park Avenue, on the right, is parallel to the right side of the building, resulting in a wedge-shape, trapezoidal building. This building is roughly 18 feet wide at the front, and about 70 feet wide at the rear. While space may be dilated here, time is forever fixed at three minutes past three o'clock.
