Main) in lower left corner; Sovran Bank and James Monroe buildings visible in the distance. __The donor and photographer was trying to recreate views from a facsimile reprint of "Illustrated Guide to Richmond, The Confederate Capital" from the City Intelligencer of 1862. The images in this collection were rejects from the project.<br />This image is likely referencing a lithograph by E. Sachse & Company (1864) showing Richmond from Church Hill (looking up Main Street from about 22nd Street).
