Description:: Black and white photograph showing a view of the Richmond, Virginia skyline looking west along train tracks from the Riverfront District; Manchester Bridge at left; Sovran Bank and James Monroe buildings visible in distance. __The donor and photographer was trying to recreate views from a facsimile reprint of "Illustrated Guide to Richmond, The Confederate Capital" from the City Intelligencer of 1862. The images in this collection were rejects from the project.<br />This image is possibly referencing a wood engraving that appeared in Harper's Weekly (October 24, 1863) from a sketch by Captain Harry E.
