Architectural Style: Italianate (North American architecture styles) Original Description \(transcribed from book\): A three unit row of Italianate houses, this group has a well-preserved wooden porch and cornice. Numbers 7 and 9 have been altered by the addition of asphalt shingles in place of the original wood sliding. They retain their original wood fences. Number 5 has had new small windows added which destroy the scale of the row. Original Note \(transcribed from book\): Of the streets of Jackson Ward which have been damaged by the construction of the super highway, DuVal Street has been the most damaged. One half of the street was destroyed.
