Card Text \(transcribed from postcard\): This venerable building with its weather-worn walls of stone boulders, is reputed to be the oldest in the city, having been erected (probably in 1737) , by Jacob Ege, a German emigrant in whose family it remained for several generations. It is now owned and maintained by the Ass'n. for the Preservation of Va. Antiquities. Note: This postcard is part of a fold out set of postcards entitled 'Souvenir of Richmond, Va.' dating from the 1920s. City/Location: Richmond (Va.)
