- Black and white photograph of workmen standing at one of the city's first sewer lines; hand-laid granite blocks surround temporary modern pipe; George Green stands atop the square opening; all the men wear hardhats; Green holds shovel; brick building behind them; line had carried storm water and sewage since about 1890; project to make way for tunnel between the Medical College of Virginia Hospital and complex on south side of Marshall Street in downtown Richmond, Virginia.
